Family Kingdom also has an oceanfront waterpark right across the street! When it’s time to take a break from the sand, take a drive down to Family Kingdom and let your family run wild. Family Kingdom is located at 300 S. Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach.

Alligator Adventure

Get ready to get up close and personal with a wide variety of wildlife at Alligator Adventure. By name one would assume that the park is just about gators but in reality it’s home to everything from owls, to wolves, to kangaroos & more! One of the most popular exhibits has to be Utan – King of the Crocs. This beast is over 18ft long and weighs in around 2000 lbs. Alligator Adventure offers families a chance to see animals they wouldn’t normally be able to see and is a great opportunity for kids to learn something new while on vacation. Alligator Adventure is located near the House of Blues at Barefoot Landing.

Ripley’s Aquarium

While Alligator Adventure is home to many land dwelling animals, Ripley’s Aquarium is home to everything under the sea.  In the main exhibit, the Dangerous Reef, guests stand on a moving walkway that travels right through the middle of the tank which houses nurse sharks, sandtiger sharks, sawfish, sea turtles & much more. One of the other large tanks, Ray Bay, is home to hundreds of rays and even has an area where guests can get close and pet these majestic creatures. Ripley’s is a great place to take the family on a rainy day, or if you all just need a little break from the summer sun. The Aquarium is located at Broadway at the Beach.

Broadway Grand Prix

If your family has a competitive streak, Broadway Grand Prix is a top choice for your summer vacation in Myrtle Beach. The facility offers a kid track for drivers over 40”, a junior track for drivers over 48” and a family track with two-seater karts where kids can ride with parents. If the kids are a little older, there are faster karts and bigger tracks. Broadway Grand Prix also has their own mini-golf course, arcade, climbing wall & more! With so much to do, the whole family can have fun for hours. The facility is located on 21st Ave and Hwy 17 bypass, across from the Palace Theater at Broadway at the Beach.

That building is Wonderworks, and it offers a family friendly environment where everyone can learn a few things while having loads of fun. There are learning areas, laser-tag, an indoor ropes course, a 6-D extreme motion ride and much, much more.
