Thanksgiving in Myrtle Beach: All the Delicious Fun - Without All the Dishes!

We love spending holidays away with our family, especially when it’s an excuse to visit the beach. Here in Myrtle Beach, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the holiday, from a belt-stretching array of buffets to a movie and a walk on the beach.

There are several delicious and affordable Thanksgiving dinner options at Dunes Village Resort. You can enjoy a full Thanksgiving spread at the resort’s Admirals Room for $18.95 per person, including carved roast turkey, pineapple glazed ham, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, a salad bar and a wide assortment of desserts. There are three seatings for Thanksgiving at the Admirals Room, one at 1 p.m., a second at 3 p.m., and a final seating at 5 p.m. You can also stop in at Captain’s Café at Dunes Village for a three course meal with turkey and cornbread dressing, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole and your choice of pumpkin pie or sweet potato pie, all for $14.95 per person. Enjoy all of your Holiday favorites without the hassle of cooking and cleaning!

Another terrific option is to get Thanksgiving dinner to go so you can enjoy an intimate meal in your condo without having to do all the cooking. Dunes Village will distribute dinners for four to-go at 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving day for only $99. Have a larger group? The meal can be adjusted for just $25 for each additional family member. All you have to do is pre-order 48 hours in advance.

Now, if you’re looking for a simple and even more affordable Thanksgiving meal—no fuss or fanciness—you could also visit K&W Cafeterias in two different locations in Myrtle Beach or in Murrells Inlet. As in years past, K&W will serve up a Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, sides, cranberry sauce and dessert for just $6.99 per person. Magnolia’s in Myrtle Beach also serves their regular breakfast buffet on Thanksgiving Day before transitioning to a Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and supper from 5 to 9 p.m. It’s largely first come first served, though if you have a group of 9 or more, you’re encouraged to call ahead.

If you’re looking for something offsite and with a bit more atmosphere, you might want to head down to Murrells Inlet. Many of the restaurants on the Marshwalk are open for Thanksgiving and serving up sizable buffets featuring signature Murrells Inlet seafood, including Wahoo’s Fish House, which will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Enjoy great food and great views without all the fuss!

There are plenty more choices for Thanksgiving dinner, though most don’t announce their exact menus until a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving. In years past, Sticky Fingers, Margaritaville, Greg Norman’s Australian Grille, House of Blues, and even Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse have all served up great Thanksgiving feasts.

Rest assured, when you come to Myrtle Beach for Thanksgiving, you won’t go hungry!
