Wild Water & Wheels drives home fun the for entire family
Wild Water & Wheels is one place on the Grand Strand that lets the young, old and those in between have hot fun in the summertime.
The Surfside Beach water park has been a favorite of untold families for years because it is a place packed with lots of fun and ample attractions.
There is Wally’s Wee-Kids World. Here, the smallest ones in your group can enjoy water play designed specifically for them, including a long mountain slide, a raindrop fountain and floatable characters they can ride.
Children and adults can have a ball in the race zone where there are a variety of go-karts and tracks, including speed racers, two-seaters and an intermediate track for children 8 to 9 years old that are at least 4 feet 3 inches tall.
There are also 24 slides throughout the park, a wipe out wave pool and a lazy river.
Some of the most popular slides include The Dark Hole. Once named the “best scary ride” in the Myrtle Beach area by Southern Living Magazine, The Dark Hole requires you to hold on to an inner tube as you slide through the shadowy domain. However, if you do not want to play, you can just chill.
Adults, for instance, can bypass the fun and games of the water park and choose to instead mingle among themselves in the adult lounge pool.
In addition, there are other fun things folks not wanting water adventures can do. They can have lunch in the group picnic area, tan in the sun deck section, enjoy food and fellowship in the food court and seek retail therapy in the gift shop among other activities void of water, including miniature golf.
One of the coolest aspects of Wild Water & Wheels is its cabana rental service. All cabanas are near the wave pool and seat up to six people. Each cabana comes with an open area, a shaded area, 4 chairs, 2 lounge chairs, 4 Wild Water & Wheels insulated 32-ounce mugs, a locker and a fan. The cabanas are ideal when you, your family and friends want to retreat into a private space, while still enjoying the sights and sounds of the water park.
