Back for another year, the Beach Boogie and BBQ Festival will be putting smiles on the faces of locals and vacationers alike. Those staying with us at Dunes Village Resort on September 2-3 have the privilege of enjoying live music, arts & crafts, games and, of course, BBQ at HGTC Conference Center and surrounding are around Market Common. The much-anticipated Wing Competition will begin at 6pm on Friday and will continue until it’s sold out. Tickets will be needed to sample wings. While those wings will certainly be delicious, most people will want to attend Saturday from 12pm – 1:30 for the first annual BBQ Derby with countless $1 samples and from 12pm - 2pm for the Kansas City Barbecue Society BBQ Competition. Saturday will also host a car show from 10am – 3pm as well as a cornhole tournament. Guests can also check out the various arts and crafts vendors as well as enjoy a variety of wine and craft beers. Pricing:

September 29 - Oct 2: St John’s Greek Festival

Opa! The St. John’s Greek Festival has been one of the most highly anticipated festivals of the season for years. Now in its 25th year, the Greek Festival is drawing in bigger crowds than ever before. Thousands show up each year to enjoy Greek dancers, shops & vendor, and most importantly, the amazing food! Attendees keep coming back year after year for the famous gyros, lamb, Greek salad, baklava and much, much more. St. John’s will be holding a raffle this year and proceeds will be benefiting various charities as their way of saying “thank you” for years of support. Dunes Village guests who will be with us during this 4 day festival should certainly have at least one meal at the 2016 Greek Festival in Myrtle Beach. St. John’s is located on the corner of 17 bypass and 33rd Ave. N. Pricing:

Atalaya Arts & Crafts FestivalSeptember 22-24, 2017: Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival

If you’re staying at the Dunes Village Resort on September 22-24, be sure to head south to Huntington Beach State Park near Murrells Inlet for the 2017 Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival. Over 100 vendors and artisans will be attending the festival and displaying their fine works.  A variety of different art forms such as glass, canvas, and wood will be showcased and available for purchase. There will also be live music from local musicians as well as a plethora of delicious food and snacks. Purchasing admission to the festival also grants admission to the 2,500-acre park as well as the historic Atalaya Castle. Due to uneven ground, stairs and narrow walkways it may be difficult for strollers and wheelchairs to move around. Pricing:
  • Festival admission is $8 for adults or $10 for multi-day passes.
  • Visitors Under 15 are free!

September 30, 2017: Irish Italian International Festival

2017 marks the 14th annual Irish Italian festival in North Myrtle Beach. Each year thousands gather around Main St. in North Myrtle Beach for this awesome one-day event. Attendees have plenty of options for both entertainment and dining. There will be two stages dedicated to live music, street performers as well as arts & crafts vendors. Local restaurants will be competing for the title of Best Entrée, Best Decorated and Best Dessert. There will also be dance groups performing throughout the day to promote the Irish & Italian themes.
