There are so many family fun-filled things to do (including hanging out at our indoor Kidz Zone waterpark) along the Grand Strand. We are recapping our favorite Myrtle Beach Family activities and throwing in a few new extras to make your family vacation the best ever.

Adventure

There are a variety of adventurous family-friendly summer activities to partake in around the Grand Strand. Here are a few of our favorites at the beach!

Family Kingdom | (843) 626-3447

Family Kingdom is the amusement park on the Grand Strand and one of the best adventures to indulge in. They have endless rides, games, and delicious treats you can only get at an amusement park. Open April through October, your family can play by buying individual tickets or grab an unlimited ride pass for $29.45 per person.

Alligator Adventure | (843) 361-0789

Head to Alligator Adventure and witness the King of Cros, Utan, among hundreds of other alligators, crocodiles, and reptiles. Tickets are $18.99 for kids and $26.99 for adults. The park is open daily from 10 am to 4 pm.

Go Ape Zipline & Treetop Adventure | (800) 971-8271

An afternoon of adventure for the whole family is awaiting at Go Ape Zipline & Treetop Adventure. Choose from multiple activities and courses like treetop obstacle courses and zip lining around the park! Adventures start at $29 for zip lining and $59 for obstacle courses.

Kokopelli Surf Camp |  (843) 340-9565

Kokopelli Surf Camp offers a variety of surf and water fun activities. Enroll the family in a 3-day surf camp, rental stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, or join the Kokopelli team for a water tour. Prices vary based on activity or rental, check out the Kokopelli Surf Camp site for more information.

Attractions

Myrtle Beach offers a handful of attractions that are family-friendly and worth the visit. Some attractions are near Dunes Village Resort and some are just a short drive, check them out!

Ripley’s Aquarium | (843) 916-0888

Ripley’s Aquarium is a favorite for families on the Grand Strand. This aquarium features a new penguin exhibit, a 340-foot-long tunnel that lets you see underwater, and so many other marine exhibits. Tickets are $24.99 for children and $34.99 for adults.

Broadway Grand Prix | (843) 839-4080

The whole family can get an adrenaline rush at the Broadway Grand Prix. Choose a go-kart and have a family competition to see who can make it to the finish line first! All you can ride wristbands are $29.99 for kids and $39.99 for adults. Park hours vary based on time of year.

Wonderworks | (843) 626-9962

Kids can learn and play at Wonderworks with their educational and fun exhibits throughout the peculiar upside-down building! All-access general admission pricing starts at $17.9 for kids.

Hollywood Wax Museum | (843) 444-0091

You and the family will be starstruck at the Hollywood Wax Museum at Broadway at the Beach! Take pictures and get silly with all the wax celebrities at this Myrtle Beach attraction. Grab an all-access pass for $29.99 (adult price) and get admission into the museum, Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors, and Outbreak - Dread the Undead.

SkyWheel | (843) 839-9200

Get the best view of the Grand Strand on a favorite Myrtle Beach attraction, the SkyWheel! The whole family can enjoy an air-conditioned ride from 200-ft above the shore. Tickets are $13 for adults and $9 for kids 3-11 years old.

Entertainment Center

Our open-air entertainment centers in Myrtle Beach have the best shopping, restaurants, and even rides for the kids!

Broadway at the Beach | 1325 Celebrity Circle

Broadway at the Beach is located in Central Myrtle Beach and has a variety of family-friendly restaurants, shops, boutiques, and rides for kids. A few of our favorite Broadway at the Beach restaurants include Grumpy Monks, Yamato, and Roosters. There are also a ton of boutiques and shops to check out while you’re at Broadway too!

Boardwalk

A favorite place for tourists and locals filled with family activities is the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. You can do anything from dining with an ocean view to zip lining across the boardwalk! Some of our favorite places to check on the boardwalk are Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, I LOVE SUGAR, and the SkyWheel. During the summer the boardwalk is a hot spot with live music & performances and family games!
