Fourth of July Celebrations in Myrtle Beach

Salute from the Shore

Anywhere on Myrtle Beach’s shoreline Salute from the Shore is one of South Carolina’s most patriotic traditions, and attracts the largest crowds as people line the shore of the entire state to watch F-16 and C-17 planes fly across the sky. The planes will fly over Myrtle Beach around 1:03pm on July 4, 2023 – but stick around afterward to see the vintage planes flown by volunteer pilots that follow the jets.  Past Salute from the Shore events have seen American flags stretched across the beaches, large crowds forming flags only visible to the pilots overhead, and countless small American flags waving in the hands of spectators.
