Each year vacationers flock to Myrtle Beach to celebrate the 4th of July. With festivals, parades and endless fireworks displays, the Grand Strand is perennially one of the top destinations for Independence Day celebrations. If you plan on joining us at Dunes Village this 4th of July, here are a few things to look forward to during your trip.
Broadway at the Beach
Though Broadway at the Beach has fireworks displays every Tuesday and Friday throughout the summer, their big show for the 4th of July is a can’t-miss. The display begins at 10:00pm and the fireworks will be shot over lake Broadway. If you're going to attend, be sure to arrive early and find a good spot.
Barefoot also has weekly fireworks displays each Monday, but their biggest and best display is the 4th of July. Their Independence Day celebration features live entertainment in various spots around Barefoot Landing with their crown jewel fireworks display kicking off at 9:30pm.
Murrells Inlet Marshwalk
If you feel like venturing south to the Marshwalk at Murrells Inlet you can catch their stellar 4th of July fireworks display which is fired from the end of Veterans Pier. The display will begin at 10:00pm and can be viewed from various spots in and around the Marshwalk.
The Pelicans have a game this 4th of July beginning at 7:05, which will be immediately followed by their Independence Day fireworks display. This is a great opportunity to catch a ball game at a great stadium and hang around for another awesome fireworks display presented by East Coast Pyrotechnics.
2nd Ave. Pier
Another option for your fireworks viewing pleasure are the Fireworks on the Boardwalk. Enjoy live music and entertainment on the boardwalk and in Plyler Park followed by one of the best displays on the Grand Strand. Fireworks will begin at 10:00pm and can be viewed from a plethora of places around the Boardwalk.
Salute From Shore
Don’t miss the annual 4th of July flyover from F-16s and other vintage aircraft. Put on your red, white and blue, grab your American flag, and join us out on the beach to salute these magnificent machines. The aircraft will be flying past Dunes Village between 1:00pm and 1:05pm.
4th Of July Parades in Myrtle Beach
If a 4th of July Parade is what it takes to get you in the Independence Day spirit, take a trip down south to Murrells Inlet or Pawleys Island. For a traditional parade, head to Pawleys Island at 10:00am for their 51st Annual Fourth Of July Parade. For something a little more beachy, head to Murrells Inlet for the 34th Annual Boat Parade which begins at 4:00pm.
