Family Friendly Amenities at Dunes Village
When you take your family on a vacation to a Myrtle Beach resort, keeping the kids happy is high on the to-do list. After all, how are you supposed to relax if you’re struck with the dreaded cry of unsatisfied children: “… I’m boooooored …”
Perish the thought—we’ve got you covered.
Here’s a quick list of the top family-friendly amenities located right here at Dunes Village Resort:
1. Indoor Water Park
Dunes Village Resort is home to Myrtle Beach’s one and only indoor water park. This top of the line facility is truly one of a kind. In addition, we know one of the toughest things about water parks is keeping the kids coated in sunscreen, but fret not – our indoor water facility eliminates the need for sloppy slathering and the fear of sunburns. Still not convinced?
Kids love to plash and play in the pool, relax in the whirlpools or shoot down the speed slide or the windy slide, and teens love playing volleyball and basketball in the teen pool. All that fun, and no sunburns! There’s also the added bonus that weather troubles won’t put a damper on the fun. Kick back, relax, and take respite in Dunes Village Resort’s indoor water park!
2. 250 feet of lazy river
Kids of all sizes love a good lazy river, and we’ve got a great one. All you need is a tube—or if you need to get a little lazier, a floating lounger—and you can sit back, relax, and cool off as you float languidly around the resort. This 250 foot water feature is the quintessential relaxation amenity.
3. Silly Submarine Water Feature
The Silly Submarine is a popular stop for younger kids. Brightly colored with spurting and sputtering water on all sides, it’s a great place for a game of underwater make-believe.
4. Dunes Village Kids Club
Unlike many Myrtle Beach area hotels, which only offer a kids club during the peak of summer, the Dunes Village kids club runs year-round—every day of the year except Christmas day. You can bring your children down to the kids club for a wide variety of fun activities, from temporary tattoos and face paint to take-home crafts like the popular tie-dyed T-shirt activity. All you have to do is stop by the front desk or drop in at the activity area outside the Palmetto water park. Most activities are free, though some do charge a small supplies fee.
5. Family-friendly activities
Dunes Village Resort has more family-focused activities than your typical Myrtle Beach resort. Check with staff on your next trip and you’ll likely find a fun-filled Super Saturday with games, contests, and a live DJ on the pool deck. Heading to Dunes Village during a holiday? There’s a good chance we’re planning a party, whether its pictures with Santa, a massive Easter egg hunt, or a cookout on the pool deck for Memorial Day.
From the indoor water park and lazy river to the kids club and variety of family activities, Dunes Village Resort offers so much for families to do. It’s no wonder we’re considered the most family-friendly resort on the Grand Strand. Visit our full amenities page for more information and start planning your family vacation today!
